MANN-FILTER spin-on oil filter consists of the housing and a filter
element. This entire filter unit is replaced during maintenance.
The following specific components can be integrated into a
spin-on oil filter:
Anti-drain valves: The two most common types of
anti-drain valves are the inlet and outlet types. They ensure the oil does not
drain from the filter and oil channels when the engine is switched off. Thus,
this allows immediate lubrication of engine components when the engine is
started.
Bypass valve: Ensures that the engine receives a
sufficient supply of oil during cold starts when the oil is highly viscous
(thick) and when the oil filter becomes blocked (replacement is over due).
Wrench removal tools: Ensure that you can remove and
fit a spin-on oil filter quickly and efficiently.
Important note: All filters have a finite life. To
ensure optimum engine protection, filters should be replaced in accordance with
the vehicle or engine manufacturers service intervals or recommendations.
